FIrst knit project

ATTACHABLE COLLAR

HAT
TRANSFORMED HAT: POUCH

We learnt to knit during a subject and required to create accessories of our choice. A large number of the class kniited scarves because it was the most basic, but I wanted to do something more challenging. After looking through several tutorials on the net, I decided to just combine simple knit and purl patterns (ribbing too), and created a attachable collar and a hat as shown above. However due to time constrain, the hat became too short (its supposed to be a beanie length).

After we were given back our works, I wanted to make the hat to something useful, so I played around with it. At first I insisted to make it a hat, and placed a drawstring on it. It didn't turn out good as a hat, but when I turned it over, it became a pouch! At that time, I had a rendering subject on hand, so I needed something to store my copic markers, and this became the great solution to it as well.

Portrait Drawing black-and-white

ORIGINAL

DRAWN
ORIGINAL
DRAWN

We were asked to draw portraits black-and-white of a front view and a 3/4 view. The first drawing had some assistance from my lecturer for the hair portion, while the second drawing is without any assistance. Because there was a dateline to be met, not every detail was perfected from my own point of view. The facial from the first drawing could be better, and the hair portion from the second drawing could be improved. However, I did my best in the time given so there were no regrets to how the drawings turned out.
