ROPE KNOT SUSPENDERS
CROSS-STITCHED PINTUCKS

This is a group work done with the concept Bay-walk for a kidswear collection. Each of us created a garment, with mine the second from the left. Our concept is inspired from the nautical concept, but we portrayed the aspect of marine life from what is seen on the bays. Key elements and features include the rope knots used by sailors (both on the ships and at the bays) and ripple-like cross-stitched tucks.

My design consist of attached suspenders which is made from rope knots, fake collars, and cross-stitched tucks between the pleats of the pleated skirt. The main idea of my design is to have a simple silhouette yet putting in unique detailings.

IPOS uniform design: Within

Female - Muslim - Maternity - Muslim/Maternity - Male
FEMALE PRODUCTION
MUSLIM PRODUCTION
MATERNITY/MATERNITY-MUSLIM PRODUCTION
MALE PRODUCTION
This is a uniform competition for Intellectual Properties of Singapore (IPOS). We were required to design 5 sets of uniforms: female, muslim, maternity, maternity-muslim, male.

My design concept is named Within, and the key elements are the clean lines on the appearance of the uniforms, yet at the same time they are actually served as hidden pockets.

It was a challenging competition as it was the first time we had to design for males and maternity, and even muslims. During the whole process of this competition, I learnt a lot, including understanding of the things to consider when designing for maternity and muslim.

Singapore Jewelry Design Awards 2014: Growing Love

CONCEPT

DESIGN1: PAST

DESIGN2: PRESENT

DESIGN3: FUTURE
This competition had a theme of Past, Present and Future. It had an interesting theme so I decided to take part in it and since it is jewelry which I had not get in touch with before, I gave it a try.

My concept is named Growing Love, which portrayed the growth of love, whether it is family love, friendship, or boy-girl relationships. It starts out like a seed in the beginning, to blossoming with flow, and eventually becoming something that can contain meaning in the future. I made use of simple design details, but with significant design concept and meaning behind the simple outlook.

IFFTI Fashion Illustration competition 2014: Breaking Wild

This is a illustration fully rendered on PS.

The concept is named Breaking Wild, promoting bravery and freedom in achieving dreams and goals in life.

Although it was not selected for finalist, I am still very satisfied with this illustration because of its strong concept and mindset I placed in it. This concept first came to me when doing a school assignment regarding career wear. I used 2 elements which I am not fond of (career wear and animal prints), and combined them with a strong concept which motivated me into doing my best in it. Thus when I received this competition, I strengthened the concept from before and applied it in my illustration.
