Portrait Drawing black-and-white

ORIGINAL

DRAWN

DRAWN

We were asked to draw portraits black-and-white of a front view and a 3/4 view. The first drawing had some assistance from my lecturer for the hair portion, while the second drawing is without any assistance. Because there was a dateline to be met, not every detail was perfected from my own point of view. The facial from the first drawing could be better, and the hair portion from the second drawing could be improved. However, I did my best in the time given so there were no regrets to how the drawings turned out.

First contact with sewing

FRONT
BACK
This is a baby-sized blouse completed by the end of my first sewing subject. We learnt a lot of basics during the subject, and this was the result from all the learning. There was no specific theme/concept we had to follow; we were only required to come up with a blouse combining all the skills we learnt.

Reverse Drawing

This is a reverse drawing done with white coloured pencil on black paper of a head statue given to us during class. It was the first time I really understood what my lecturer meant when he said "if you really concentrate in drawing a piece of art, you should be feeling very tired at the end of it". Because it was reversed drawing, a lot of concentration has to be placed on it and hours were spent on it. And upon the completion of this work, I indeed felt really tired.

Another school assignment done with both Adobe AI and PS. We were required to design 6 postcards for SPCA. My postcard collection is targeted at foster care, where young and new-born animals are fostered to be taken care of. The images are all vectored, while only some touch-ups and text are edited in PS.

First contact with AI: Vectored portrait

ORIGINAL IMAGE
VECTORED

This is my first contact with Adobe Illustrator during a school subject. We were asked to vector a portrait with a dateline of 1 week. We were also allowed to use PhotoShop to do just some minor touch-ups, but most of the work has to be done on AI.

About Me!

Stitching Nature Alive

Achieving the Never-ending Universe of Life

I am Jaycelyn!

Life is full of mysteries and endless opportunities,
which I believe we should all Enjoy every second of it.

Life, just like a universe
is beyond
What we see,
What we touch,
What we thought we can only achieve

I am someone who always give new things a try even if I knew I might not be good at it.
I follow closely to what my heart tells me to do.

Attached by nature, especially the night sky which never fails to remind me
how vast the never-ending universe is.

In another words,
I follow my passion.
